TOO MANY MILES

TOO MANY MILES

Too many miles, too many days,

too many hours I’ve been sitting bye

watching my life slip away

too little time spent with my baby

too many miles, too many hours, too little pay

when I get home I got preachers knockin on my door

salesmen on the telephone I can’t take much more

I ain’t seen a good night’s sleep in my own bed

since I don’t know when, spent all of my money

so it’s back to it again

CHORUS

I look into the cupboard but the cupboards they are bare

I look in my refrigerator but there ain’t no beer in there

I’m looking for a light so I can see me there

I just lost my rear view mirror to another sleepy head

CHORUS
