Well here we are easter and anzac day gone again for another year and we are still practicing social isolation. we released our self made clip for a great little steve biddlestone song "too many miles" we had so much fun making it and getting it out there for people to enjoy that we are going to do a few more, possibly one for each of the tracks on our mini album titled '6'
KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE FOR UPDATES BY THE BUCKET LOAD OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS.
WELL WELL WELL, HASN'T COVID 19 DONE SOME DIRTY WORK ON THE WORLD? RATTLINCANE LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE WORLD WENT INTO LOCKDOWN, THREE MONTHS LATER WE TRIED TO GET OUT AND DO A SHOW BUT THE BLOODY VIRUS SCREWED THAT UP AS WELL. ON TOP OF THAT LONGTIME BAND MEMBER SAMMY CROWE HAS DECIDED TO HANG UP HIS GUITAR MOST LIKELY PERMANATELY.
THE CANE TRAIN WILL CONTINUE ON AS a four piece as we have done in the past.
and now to he good news. We have started recording a new album featuring eleven new songs. once more returning to audrey studios in coburg melbourne australia to work with craig pilkington who did such an awesome job on our last mini album '6' this album will be different to our last three efforts. the pedal steel is gone although it may feature on a track or two and also gone will be sams soaring harmonies and crunching guitar. we are actually very excited to be getting into it as a tight little four piece, our style has been evolving and shifting a little over the last year and we are looking forward to getting our new songs out there to be heard
remember to check our facebook page or updates on the whole process.
MARCH NEWS; Well what a shitty start to the year this has turned out to be folks.
Gigs cancelled, and some good gigs that we were really looking forward to.
"nevermind" people tell us,,"there are more important things in the world than gigs you know/' "really" we say,,,, "we find that a little hard to believe! "
our g-tar player Steve (biddo) Biddlestone recently went with his family to the usa but after a week was kicked out of new york and sent home due to bad behaviour, (he tried to play the covid 19 card but we aint buyin that one)
johnny boom boom dynon went with his family to tasmania for a few weeks and has'nt been seen or heard of since, Some arre suggesting his mail is being diverted to Port Arthur cell block bb.
greg and his partner in crime have had to cancel their may trip to switzerland to stock up on some hole filled cheese and hunt st bernards.
wild man sam has holed up down in his loch sport railway compound toot tooting around and self isolating.
the g-man is eating two square and one octagonal meals a day. lots of puddings and no beer. that may explain the large amount of self isolating.. in fact almost to the point of blindness.
We hope to be back on board the Neon Horse when there is finally movement at the station and the word has got around.
Country comes to town will be back and choc full of even more goodness.
we may well have a new album recorded in time for the world to get back to some kind of normality.
